SCOTT STEELE

Scott Steele was born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, in 1966. He briefly attended George Brown College, Toronto ON, for Graphic Design, however left to pursue a modelling career in Europe and Asia. During that time his creativity began to blossom and Steele attended the International Academy of Merchandising and Design for Interior Design. After graduation he began Petersiel Steele Design with Judy Petersiel.

Although originally painting full in the Photo Realism genre, in time Steel began to experiment in a more Abstract Expressionistic style, inspired by his love of Northern Ontario. He opened Brush Gallery in Toronto’s Historic Distillery District in 2002, but now focusses solely on painting and honing his craft. He has been represented in galleries in Toronto, New York, San Francisco and Whistler, and is represented in private and corporate collections globally. Steele currently lives and works in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON.
