hannan fayad

Hannan Fayad attended Sheridan College's Craft and Design Program. She studied glass making and over the course of three years honed her unique style and aesthetic – graduating in 2016. Following her second year, she was awarded a Student Residency in the glass-making studio at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. She has won numerous awards for her work, and in 2019 was recognized by the Artist Project as one of the UNTAPPED Emerging Artists.

Highlights of her pieces are smooth rock-like surfaces, forms that balance geometry and organic composition, striking colours that range from earth tones to soft pastels, and fragile edges that appear sharp but are smooth to the touch. The work that goes into each piece, the envisioning, the intense heat of the hot-shop, the hours cold working – the end result are expressions of the artist’s design sense, and her voice.

Hannan Fayad has developed a collaborative art studio in London ON, and regularly exhibits her work throughout Ontario and Quebec.
